Hand-Turned Wooden Vases ~ Our unique vases & bowls come in a variety of shapes, sizes and woods. Each is individually turned from either solid stock or glued up pieces - thus each is truly one-of-a-kind. If you are looking for a pair or set (or a piece that you saw in the past), please be aware that we cannot absolutely duplicate any of our items.

Decorative Bowls & Vases ~ Many of our pieces look as good on the inside as they do on the outside, and make wonderful decorative pieces, besides functional containers.

Unique multi-wood bowls & vases bring color and design with the timeless beauty of natural wood. Each an original design, personally handmade.

Multi-Wood Vases & Bowls provide Color & Character ~ Combining different woods produce unique designs and add interest to the piece. The additional time needed for the extra slicing and glue-up is more than compensated for by the end result. The pieces blend seamlessly, almost as if painted.

Flower Vases ~ Our flower vases are made to hold stems tight so that your dried or silk bouquet stays together, but are not made for standing water. (we also have some that come with inserts so they can be used for fresh flowers, too.)

Custom furniture, larger unusual wooden mantel & wall clocks, floor mirrors and other larger unique wooden home furhinshings ~ Minneapolis area only.

VanEss Expressions is a small Minneapolis familiy business, creating unique & unusual, original & custom wooden gifts, clocks, home decor & home furnishings, and hand-turned wooden vases & bowls.

VanEss Expressions is all about Wood

All of our pieces are 100% solid hardwood ~ no pine, plywood, or laminates. We use a variety of wood stains & dyes to enhance the grain or add color- but we never paint wood.

VanEss Expressions is all about Quality

Each item is individually & personally handcrafted by us ~ from the original design, to the selection of the wood, to the very last coat of varnish ~ and we do it one piece at a time.
